Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Weddi’s websites, services, and products (collectively, the “Services”), including the design, setup, and delivery of a wedding website (the “website”). By accessing or using the Services, creating an account, or purchasing a package, you agree to these Terms.

 

If you do not agree, do not use the Services.​

Who we are

Weddi (Konix Labs t/a Weddi) provides professional wedding website design and setup Services built on third-party platforms (primarily Wix). Contact: info@weddi.co.za

Eligibility & Accounts

  • You must be 18 years or older (or the age of majority in your region) to purchase Services.

  • You may be required to create a Weddi account and/or a third-party platform account (e.g., Wix). You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activity under your account(s).

  • You must provide accurate, current, and complete information; notify us of changes promptly.

  • We may suspend or terminate accounts for breach of these Terms or suspected fraudulent/abusive conduct.

 

Scope of Services

  • Weddi offers packaged Services (currently Classic and Prestige) and select add-ons. Features vary by package; see the current Packages & Pricing page for inclusions.

  • Lead time: Your website is typically ready within 2 weeks after we receive your completed Design Brief and required content. Delays in your content/approvals extend timelines.

  • Platform & third parties: We provision websites on Wix and may use domain registrars, email/forwarding services, print vendors (e.g., QR table signs), and storage media suppliers (e.g., USB keepsakes). Your use is also subject to those third parties’ terms, policies, and availability.

  • Prestige-only features: The Share the Moment page (guest image uploads + live gallery) and Digital Guestbook are available only where included by package.

 

Your Content & User-Generated Content (UGC)

 

This section covers (a) content you supply for the website (text, photos, logos) and (b) UGC submitted by guests (e.g., “Share the Moment” uploads, guestbook messages).

 

Ownership & license you grant to Weddi

You retain your rights in content you submit. You grant Weddi a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, adapt, modify (formatting/styling), publish, display, and otherwise use your content solely to provide, operate, improve, and showcase the Services (e.g., internal demos/portfolio with your permission). You represent and warrant that you have all rights, licenses, and permissions necessary, including any model releases for identifiable persons.

 

Guest uploads & moderation

  • If enabled, guests may submit content to your website (images/messages). You are responsible for choosinginstant publish or moderation (where available).

  • You acknowledge that UGC may be uploaded by third parties; Weddi is not obligated to monitor UGC but may remove or disable content at our discretion for any reason (e.g., illegal, infringing, obscene, hateful, abusive, spam, malware).

  • You agree not to upload or allow uploads that violate rights, laws, or these Terms, and you will promptly notify us of any issues.

Prohibited content

You (and your guests) must not upload content that is illegal; infringing; defamatory; deceptive; harassing; hateful; pornographic; exploits children; invades privacy; contains malware or phishing; or violates third-party rights (copyright, trademark, privacy/publicity). We may suspend features or sites that violate this clause.

Payment, Pricing & Taxes

  • One-time payments only: Packages and add-ons are billed as one-off purchases unless stated otherwise.

  • What’s included: Packages generally include 1 year of Wix Core hosting and domain setup/management (see current package description).

  • Currency & taxes: Prices are listed in ZAR unless noted. Taxes, card/bank fees, and currency conversion are your responsibility.

  • Pricing changes: We may update prices prospectively at any time; confirmed orders are not affected.

  • Chargebacks: Initiating a chargeback without first attempting resolution may result in website suspension; you remain liable for bank/processing and admin fees if the chargeback is reversed.

Cancellations, Changes & Refunds

Your purchase is subject to Weddi’s Refunds, Cancellations & Changes Policy, incorporated by reference. Key points:

 

  • Before we start (no “Kick-off”, no third-party costs): full refund of our service fee.

  • After Kick-off: pro-rata refund of unperformed service work; third-party costs (e.g., Wix hosting, domain) are non-refundable once purchased/activated.

  • After launch: no refunds on service fees or third-party costs.

  • Wix hosting: Wix may offer a limited 14-day money-back window for new Premium plan purchases; if we obtain a refund from Wix, we’ll pass it to you minus admin/bank fees. After 14 days, no refunds; hosting remains active until the paid period ends.

Domains, Email & Renewals

  • We can procure and configure a custom domain and a wedding email address/forwarder as part of your package.

  • After the included period (typically 12 months), renewal fees for hosting/domain/email apply at then-current rates. Early cancellation does not entitle you to pro-rata refunds.

  • On full payment, we can transfer site ownership to you upon request; outstanding balances must be settled first.

Acceptable Use & Technical Restrictions

You agree not to:

  • Bypass or attempt to bypass security or access controls;

  • Copy, scrape, or reproduce template code/designs for resale or outside use;

  • Reverse engineer or interfere with the Services or third-party platforms;

  • Use automated means (bots, crawlers) to access or overload the Services;

  • Send spam, engage in fraud, or conduct unlawful activities;

  • Upload viruses, malicious code, or content that disrupts operations.

We may suspend or terminate the website or features to protect the platform, users, or third parties.

Our Intellectual Property

All logos, marks, brand names, visual design systems, layouts, templates, documentation, and other IP displayed or provided by Weddi are our exclusive property or licensed to us. Except for the limited licenses granted in these Terms, no rights are transferred. You may not use our trademarks without prior written consent.

Copyright / DMCA-Style Notices

Weddi respects intellectual property rights and will respond to proper notices of alleged infringement.

To report copyright infringement, send a written notice including:

  1. Your contact info;

  2. Identification of the copyrighted work(s) claimed infringed;

  3. The specific URL/location of the allegedly infringing material;

  4. A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized;

  5. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and you are the rights holder or authorized agent;

  6. Your physical or electronic signature.

Upon receiving a valid notice, we may remove or restrict access to the material and, where appropriate, terminate repeat infringers’ access. If you believe your removed material is not infringing, you may send a counter-notice with sufficient detail; we may restore the content at our discretion, consistent with applicable law.

 

Note: To benefit from certain safe-harbor protections in the U.S., service providers generally must designate a DMCA agent with the U.S. Copyright Office. If you require U.S. coverage, consult counsel to complete that filing.

Privacy & Data

Your use of the Services is subject to our Privacy Policy (separate document), which explains how we collect, use, and protect personal data (e.g., names, emails, RSVP details, guest uploads). You agree not to misuse guest data and to comply with applicable privacy laws.

You authorize Weddi to send service communications (order confirmations, notices, support emails) electronically.

Disclaimers

  • As-is: The Services are provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

  • No guarantee of uninterrupted service: Availability may be affected by third-party platforms (e.g., Wix), vendors, and network providers.

  • Third-party content/links: We are not responsible for third-party sites, services, or content.

  • No photography/videography: Weddi does not provide photography/videography services.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Weddi will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages (including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business interruption), even if advised of the possibility.

  • Weddi’s total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Services will not exceed the amount you paid to Weddi for the specific Service in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

  • Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Weddi, its directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your content or guest uploads; (b) your breach of these Terms; (c) your violation of laws or third-party rights; (d) misuse of the Services.

Suspension, Termination & Site Removal

We may suspend or terminate your access, remove content, or disable features immediately if:

  • You breach these Terms or applicable laws;

  • We receive credible infringement/abuse complaints;

  • Required by law, court order, or a platform provider;

  • Non-payment, chargebacks, or suspected fraud.

 

Upon termination, your rights to use the Services cease. Sections that by nature should survive (e.g., IP, disclaimers, liability limits) shall survive.

Changes to the Services or Terms

We may modify the Services or these Terms at any time. Material changes will be posted with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. If you disagree, stop using the Services.

Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. You consent to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of South Africa to resolve disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services.

Miscellaneous

  • Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with the Refund Policy and Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Weddi.

  • Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remainder remains in effect.

  • No waiver: Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.

  • Assignment: You may not assign your rights or obligations without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a reorganization, merger, or sale.

  • Force Majeure: Neither party is liable for delays/failures caused by events beyond reasonable control (e.g., outages, strikes, acts of God).
